Registering with the Hertford's maternity service

The Hertford is proud to be among the foremost hospitals in the area that provides for the Mother and Child, so much so in fact that the Hertford has to turn away up to two thirds of the candidates for deliveries, nearly fifteen hundred a year.

You should register with us as soon as you miss a period and have had a positive pregnancy test.

In practice:

• Telephone the Maternity office on 01 46 39 22 95 to pre-register as soon as you can
• Drop by the Maternity office to conform your registration.

Because of the high demand for places, please inform the Maternity office if for any reason you decide not to proceed with us.

If we cannot accept your registration, you can nevertheless write to the Maternity Consultations office, who can put you on the waiting list and register you if a place becomes available.

The hospital's technical facilities are second to none, and the hospital also shares equipment and personnel with an adjacent, complementary hospital.

The full range of services and facilities include surgical gynaecology, anaesthesia, and specialist neonatal services and paediatrics, which are located on an entirely renovated and recently opened paediatric floor.
